Battle for the Circle
by Nevae WolfePM MemberMember Profile on Mon, 5 Jan 2009 22:29

Nevae looked out at the city of the Damned. It was all about to be destroyed, he had finally found the last puzzle piece to find the circle and ancient summoning symbol that was used to summon a Demon of unknown origin and name.

That was a problem he had to know what this demon was capapble of, but he would find all that out during the journey which would take several days but he would do it nothing would stop him.

Nevae turned and picked up his sword Blood Lust, checking his person for the map again Nevae headed south following the trail into the Light Forest, the Elves kept the forest dazzling from somewhere in the forest, alot of people journeyed intot he forest to find them but none ever could.

Nevae made sure to look happy so if by chance he met someone or a group they would just think he was on a hike. This area was supposed to be a peaceful area no violence, and suspicious people were often detained and questioned hard.

After passing numerous happy campers, Nevae let his true self through for a minute, all that smiling hurt his face he couldn't see exactly how people did it all the time. He was finally getting deeper and deeper into the forest he could be himself now.

Olva ran as fast as he could throught the forest, his heart racing, the trees seemed to aid in his speed.

Finally coming upon the ancient waterfall, Olva stopped and looked around, nothing was amiss, everything seemed....right but one could never tell. Stepping up to the waterfall Olva bowed "Amin ve' nae imya sina selingue sanerek" .

The Water coming down the water fall parted and Olva stepped intot he cave only to fall to his knees and shake his head

"NO!"

"Who could take the map! Who knew it was here!"

Evelyn pushed aside a branch as she made her way through the trees. She had not seen anyone in this part of the forest in a while, though she had been there about a year or so. It might be time to move on soon, she reckoned. She kept moving and listening to the silence of the woods, when she thought she heard someone moving off in the distance. It not sound like an animal, she could tell that from here. Keeping quiet, she moved after them. When she got closer, she saw the man was not smiling, and was heading deeper into the forest.

Zephyran moved from tree to tree as he slipped through the forest in total silence. He seemed to vanish now and again, though that was always the nature of an assassin. He felt something in this forest. Something big. He wanted to know what it was, and who was behind it. Soon he had vanished entirely in the shadows and reappeared a bit further down the path he was walking. No one can fight darkness. I'll find the cause of this and force it out of them. He didn't laugh, though if he didn't feel the need to be silent he would have. A shadow stirred, and there were foot steps. There were people nearby. He stopped and wrapped the shadows around himself hiding in wait for the person to walk past.

Nevae sharply turned and looked behind him scanning the trees and ground, he could have sworn he heard something maybe I took that cursed smile down to fast

Nevae shrugged he was almost deep enough that a smile would seem odd anyway, dangerous creatures, rogues, and who knew what else roamed deep within.

Nevae turned and continued his journey he knew that Olva would come looking for him as much as he tried to set it up so that he wouldn't be the most likely suspect for stealing the map, it just wouldn't work Olva was to private it took years for nevae to finally at least get a hint of where it was and then months more before he could steal it. If anyone were to find out what I have.........

Nevae gripped his sword tight suddenly feeling uneasy would such a powerful artifact be a beacon?

Nevae stopped and took a deep breath, leaving the trail for a bit until he found a spot that was not to far from the trail but not to close. He grabbed four rocks and placed them North, South East and West, marking each with a protection sign. He then sat crossed legged and recited a spel that would magnify his mind outreach and searched for any being that could be out there close and far so that he could judge how to best make his journey.

Evelyn paused briefly as whomever it was she was following continued on the path. She bit her lip, being indecisive. He definitely did not seem like a normal traveler, he seemed like he was far too wary for that. But her curiosity got the better of her. After letting the person get a ways ahead, she moved slowly forward again, not bothering to grasp her sword. She meant no harm.

She had walked for a while, tracking him, when she sensed something reaching outward from a point not too far ahead, where the traveler may have stopped. Immediatly she threw up the shields around her mind so nothing could attack her mentally. She changed direction and went along another path a ways before stopping to hold still and see what would happen, unaware of the other person wrapped in shadows waiting just off the path...

Nevae's mind went far into the forest lightly so as not to alert anyone, he just wanted to see who was out there, so far some travelers and beast were about but not close to him, thier was a figure close by but he couldn't tell wether it was male or female, or if he was being followed.

Something else was out there to but Nevae couldn't tell what. Snapping out of his trance Nevae was now content. Nobody knew he had the map so how could he be followed, and besides only Olva knew about it right? So he had nothing to worry about.

Walking back to the trail Nevae continued his journey.

Olva stood and walked outside, standing inf ront of a tree he asked "Who was here last?"

The tree shook and a wind started up, it was asking the other trees, and plants if they saw anything.

Olva listened to the wind, his eyes closed Neeeeeeevvvaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeee He heard them whisper.

Olva frowned why would Nevae steal the Map, How did he know it was there? One thing Olva did know was that he had to get it back at all cost. Bowing and giving thanks to the forest. Olva started to run, calling up the image of the map to guide him.

Nevae was not to far, he had started his journey only hours ago, although he did make great progress, the forest wanted the map back just as much as Olva did and he was delivered the speed and agility of the great black cats that roamed the forest making his pursue quicker.

Further ahead on the trail someone walks. It is hard to distinguish who he is, he is carrying somthing on his back that is the same hight and general with of him. IT is covered in a blanket but pieces of dirt fall out from time to time onto the trail. He drags his feet almost exhaustingly

The assassin moved quickly and closed in on the unsuspecting traveler. He stopped just behind the woman and placed a knife blade to the back of her neck. "What is going on here? You're following someone, and they resonate of trouble. Explain what you know unless you want to die."

Ill met
by Shadow and LightPM MemberMember Profile on Mon, 2 Feb 2009 17:16

One disadvantage of keeping her shields up against being sensed was that now she could not sense anyone physically sneaking up on her. Evelyn froze when she felt the cool, sharp edge of a knife press on the back of her neck. But her face didn't show her shock, and she calmly kept still. "I may know a few things you do not, traveler," she said quietly, trying to look sideways at her attacker, but she could not see him over her shoulder. "And they are not for common knowledge." She loved giving vague answers to thwart foes, even if it got her into trouble. She was still alive, anyway. At the same time her hand moved slowly to the hilt of her sword, unable to ignore his death threat. "Why would it concern the likes of you?"

Nevae was still troubled no longer able to concentrate he left the trail again, taking out his sword he cut himself on his arm.

Blood Lust his sword soaked up the blood and turned red, a small lizard like demon appeared and bowed "What will master have me do?"

Nevae sighed "Somthing is wrong, do you feel the people in this forest?"

The Demon nodded "Not to far"

"Go and see if they are a threat, do not be seen and report back to me I'll handle it from there"

Little Demon bowed and flinted of through the trees, nevae continued his Journey.
