Bryce is short, skinny young man with dirty blond hair that hangs in his face constantly. He usually wears work cloths which consist of durable coveralls. As is the habbit with crewmen on airships when working particularly hard they unbutton the coveralls to the waist and roll the top half down tying it about their waist to keep cool. To complete the working attire he wears a pair of heavy work boots with metal plated between layers of well cured leather and fixed inplace with rivets at the toe of the boot.

Brek's father was killed in a pirate attack upon a merchant vessel two years back. Since then he'd found what jobs he could to bring in money to help support his mother and younger brother. Courrier, cleaner, and stableboy were among the best all of which paid little. Upon turning thirteen, the youngest age allowed by the Loftier Guild, between jobs went out to look for work as a ship moneky more commonly known as ship'key. It took a year but upon hearing that a new ship was being comissioned he dropped all other work and spent days hunting down Lr. Ean Heartford. Finally catching up with him, he had Lr. Heartford so impressed that he welcomed him as the first crew member of the Golden Gryphon, and was even permitted to come to the christening of the ship.

Since then Brek had plenty of time to get to know the ins and outs of the ship and discovered a good number of secret storage locations which he promptly reported to Lr. Heartford for recording. They even managed to find and cataloge a good number of valuable goods that were promptly sold and their purses locked in the Loftier's safe, the location of which is a guarded secret by each Loftier.

"From computers, space travel and fusion power it was a long way to fall, but inevitable all the same. All things have a cycle of death and rebirth it is just a matter of cause and severity. At one point both were known but now only the fact that a great disaster occurred. Now after centuries, the population of the planet have pulled themselves out of the ashes and reclaimed at least some semblance of civilization it what remains of their world’s past [more here]"
